The man who answered the phone was not only rude, barked the amount charged in my ear and then cut me off before I could make a booking. I have been trying to phone the hotel 6x since then to speak to the manager, but the phone has been taken off the hook as it does not give a busy tone Cleary there is much better guest houses in Bloemfontein for R per night!

Despite the change in name from Hotel F1 to Sun 1, and the concomitant revamp of rooms, this Hotel chain finds it difficult to shed its bad reputation.
The hotel is still frequented by businessmen who use the rooms for a quickie with street prostitutes or secret lovers. However, the rooms are just what you need: Modern, comfortable bedding, TV, Aircon, and private toilet and shower. It is centrally located opposite the Univeristy of the Free State. Excellent location if you attend a conference at UOFS. Rooms are sound proof.
